The allure of a save file with all of SaGa II's rare items obtained has peeked my interest for years. While not as absurd as some games, SaGa II's drop rates for some items are rather notorious. A lot of items will never be seen by most players without an extreme amount of patience. I began this journey in an attempt to acquire them all in one save file. The items included are ones that cannot be found or bought; only ones that are obtained through monster drops
Our first rare item in the game is the Golden Axe. While most players know this item dropped WAY later in the game at the Old Battlefield, your actual best bet is during the "Desert Megalith" scenario. If you search the lower pond in the canyon (Not the one near the Vogelang exit) you will occasionally be attacked by a group of Hoppers. The Golden Axe is the #3 drop (Ouch). You can fight this battle numerous times, but only during the "Desert Megalith" scenario. Wipe them out quick with Firestorm.
