In the morning, head down to the castle docks and you will find that Mathiu had Milia's dragon create boats out of ice for the attack on the Floating Fortress Shasarazade. We are ready to go to battle. Nothing to say here. Ninjas, thieves, and use the Strategists command to boost your Charge if the enemy is going to use a Bow attack. When the battle is won, Viktor is a required member of your party for this dungeon; so descend down into the waterways.
This will be a rather short dungeon, but look out for the Imperial Soldier groups; they hit hard and any character that is not heavily armored will be at risk. They also drop the Horned Helmet, which is the best helmet in the game. The Horned Helmet is generally equipped by characters such as Humphrey, Pesmerga, and Valeria, but can also be worn by a few unlikely characters like Cleo and Kamandol. If they can wear it, and you aren't going for an HP regen character build, I suggest the Horned Helmet over the Silver Hat. You will find another Horned Helmet in a chest in the final dungeon, but this is the only location to outfit your party members with these.
The Siren enemies, you also encounter in Shasarazade, carry two rare drops. The first is the Sound Setting 3. Like the others, you can give this to Melodye at your castle to change the cursor sound. If you've been opening all the chests thus far, this should be your last sound setting needed to complete your set (More on this in the next chapter).
The Sirens also drop your only source of Flowing Runes in the game; you should have one of these back from the Cave of the Past dungeon. These are invaluable and should replace any character fitted with a basic Water Rune.
Another item covered earlier, the Gold Necklace, is dropped by the Kerberos enemy here. Combined with the one in Seek Valley, you can outfit both Kuromimi and Gon with the best def-based accessory in the game. You won't find these elsewhere.
Nearing the end of the dungeon, you will find a chest with a Master Garb inside. If you didn't get one of these from the Earth Golems outside of Moravia Castle, this is the only place to get one. It's important that one of these is equipped on Tir if you are going to be porting your data over to Suikoden II (Where the Master Garb is also one of the best armors in the game).
Blocking the path to the floodgate you will find the Shell Venus boss. The most important thing to be aware of for this boss is to save the majority of your best spells (Judgment, Ball of Lightning) as you will have to fight another boss shortly after. When the battle is over, before proceeding onward, you can return to the surface to rest and save if you really need to. When you are ready to proceed, move downward from where the boss was and Viktor will close the floodgate.
Before exiting the dungeon, grab the Thunder Rune chest that is near the floodgate. This is your final upgraded elemental rune. It replaces the Angry Blow spell with a new lvl 4 spell, Thunder God. Thunder God is a powerful spell that targets the entire opposition, but Ball of Lightning is still your best bet for dealing damage to a single enemy. Ball of Lightning, itself, will receive more MP from this rune as well.
At the exit to the surface, Sonya Shulen will stand in our way; amidst a fiery explosion. This can be a difficult battle if you exhausted your party status during the Shell Venus battle. She will hit your front row hard with physical attacks and uses a strange (water?) magic attack that hits the entire party. More than likely, you will need a casting of at least Rain of Kindness or Scream after one of her spells. You may consider casting Copper Flesh on Viktor or any character that is taking heavy damage from it.
On the surface, we find that Sanchez has betrayed us and prematurely lit the explosive barrels, heavily wounding Mathiu...Flik will draw his sword to kill Sanchez, but Mathiu will stop him. Good thing too, who wants to walk all the way around to Mathiu to change party members at the castle? With Sonya in tow, the party will return to the castle.
Before you do ANYTHING, head down to the basement of the castle (Where Viki, Juppo, Kamandol usually are). Sorry, I missed the screenshot here, so I had to use one in its place. You will find Cleo talking to Sonya. Afterward, have Tir speak with her and choose the options "I want you to join us" proceeded by "I don't mind" and Sonya will join your party (To watch Tir die, which was always strange to me). She is the final of the 108 Stars of Destiny. So, congratulations if you have gotten all of them up to this point. Sonya is one of the absolute best characters in the game, excelling in both physical attacks and magic. The finale is drawing near in the next chapter.
