First entering the Sand River, you'll come across a monkey near the entrance. Have Cecilia use her new Wand tool on it and then follow it through the wall to the right, then up and down the stairs. The sand flow to the left-side will just take you back to the entrance.
At the beginning of this dungeon, you'll frequently encounter Toadstools. Jack can use Trickster on them to attempt to steal Revive Fruits; it is a rather rare steal though, but worth noting.
Taking the first stairs down, you'll be in a large room with plenty of sand flowing. Down the first flight of stairs, on the left-side, is a treasure chest containing a Hardy Apple. Take the next set of stairs down and follow it along to the right to the next downward stairs. You'll see an entrance to take with a Power Apple chest beside it to pick up.
In the next room, there is a wall Rudy can Bomb to the upper-right, leading to a chest with an Orb of Power accessory. When equipped, it raises a character's max HP by 25%, which could be useful, but I'm keeping my character's with what they have (Round Shield, Mystic Word, Hard Guard).
Follow the previous path around, passing a broken bridge, to two chests with Power and Hardy Apples. Return to the bridge and jumping off either the left or right-side takes you to different areas. You want to to take the right-side, since the left takes you back toward the beginning of the dungeon.
After you're swept away to the right, enter the nearby cave and then the narrow path to the right for a Lucky Card treasure; then take the next sand flow to proceed. On the other side, take the Hardy Apple chest to the left, then exit south to a save point.
Continuing south, jump in the first sand flow to be taken around to an epitaph. Have Jack use the Lighter to light both torches and examine the epitaph to learn the new fast draw, Heal Blade. While this is an extremely useful skill, especially for emergency healing using Accelerator Force, it always recovers a set amount of a character's maximum HP, along with restoring status, and is not associated with any of Jack's statistics. Unfortunately, you have to take the sand flow on the left-side that will place you back near the beginning of the dungeon and you'll have to trek back to the save point area.
From the save point, work your way south and down the flight of stairs. The path from there is a linear shot out of the dungeon, but look for a last Power Apple treasure chest before the final set of stairs leading up. Out on the world map, the Ship Graveyard is directly to the northeast of the Sand River.
More item hunting, but we only have a few more towns to go after this one. Right at the entrance, inside the barrel surrounded by crates, is a new headgear for Cecilia, the Serenade. When combined with Mystic, this headpiece can cast the Restore spell that completely recovers a character's status. You won't find more than one of the Serenade, so don't sell it on accident.
To the northeast of the Memory Bird is an Agile Apple inside a barrel.
On the western side of town, outside of the ARMs meister shop, is another barrel with a Power Apple.
Exit to the north to find the town's shore that debris often washes up on. You can already find a Toy Hammer and Revive Fruit waiting for you.
Exit back into town and Bomb the crates to the right of the gathered drums to find two Heal Berries. You can take another exit to the north to enter the town's harbor, but it is empty there for the moment.
Enter the nearby house and talk to the man inside. He and his wife, long ago, made their way into the Pleasing Garden, but got separated and only he made it out alive. He'd like for you to go to the dungeon and find his wife's bracelet for him. We've got nothing pressing going on, so why not?
Bomb the two crates on the left-side of the previously-mentioned guy's house to find two more Heal Berries.
Lastly, north from there, is the item and equipment shop. Pick up everything you can, but if you're running low on Gella, the enemies outside of town can provide a nice boost. Cecilia's Sorcery Wand can cast Silence with the Mystic Force, while the Chic Bolero casts Rage; which increases a character's statistics but they can only physically attack.
The Pleasing Garden is an annoying piece of work that randomly shifts around the desert, with no icon like the Maze of Death. You'll need to watch for the camera zooming it and search around, but if you see the camera zooming outward again, the location has changed. Outside on the world map, there are mostly old foes from Timney, however, you can find a group of two Sand Beasts, if you haven't stolen a Wind Ring yet, and they carry an excellent amount of Gella if you need to purchase any of the equipment back at the Ship Graveyard.
Well, this is different. Use the portal in the center of the desert to be transported high above Filgaia. If you need to leave, you can jump off the ledge behind you. Also, if you still haven't stocked up on Potion Berries, you can steal them from both the Antlion and Sandscisor enemies here. To begin, take the right-side path and follow it around to another portal.
You'll then be in a long horizontal room covered with windows. If you make your way along to the right-side and keep an eye on the windows, you will eventually see that one is actually a door. Proceed through it and past the save point to the next area.
Move north, then west to the end of the room, then south twice, to reach a chest containing a Heal Berry. When you return from the treasure room, a torch on the west-side of the room will have moved and revealed a switch to step on. Once activated, return to the previous room and take the middlemost south exit to a portal.
On the other side of the portal, enter the nearby room to find our first non-story-related Duplicator, then back to the portal and south into a room with eerie music and covered in sand.
There's some sort of strange creature burrowing around under the sand, but how to get it out? Bombs, of course, but be prepared for a boss afterwards.
Start the battle with a Lucky Card and Cecilia casting Shield on herself, then Protect on Rudy (Especially if he doesn't have the Death Rune). Follow up by casting Slow Down and using the usual Hand Cannon with Rudy and Meteor Dive for Jack. In between healing, Cecilia should cast either Freeze or Valkyrie; the latter of which does a great amount of damage. If the party becomes too damaged from Thunderbolt, don't be afraid to Mystic a Potion Berry for recovery.
Oddly enough, the Gigmantis' head will be left behind. Pick it up and toss it at the switch to lower the purple barrier to the south where you can pick up Jack's newest tool, the Grappling Hook.
Return back outside the sand room and use the portal; followed by the one in the nearby room to be warped back to the sunlit window room. This time, make your way to the western-side of the room, then south, to a room with two chests containing Crest Graphs.
Head back to the save point area through the hidden door in the previous room. Then the northern exit in the cross-shaped room we haven't taken before. Jack can use his Grappling Hook to swing himself over to the next area.
You'll find three portals waiting for you inside. Take the west portal, then the northern one, and outside to see the familiar light of a Guardian. Inspect it and the party will have the Flash Rune bestowed upon it. This is your first multi-stat rune and I highly recommend giving it to Cecilia over the Summit Rune. Not only are the stat boosts nice, but it has a fantastic summon, as well, being your first non-elemental one.
Back inside the previous room, a portal will have appeared. Enter it and proceed north to find the object of the Pleasing Garden: Dan's wife's Bracelet. Pick it up and take the new portal to be deposited back at the entrance of the dungeon. Drop off the backside and return to the Ship Graveyard with the Bracelet.
Hand the Bracelet over to Dan and his story will invoke a new power within Jack: the level 3 Force, Sonic Vision. When used, this acts like Accelerator but will do upwards of five times the damage of Jack's basic attack. You'll then overhear two of the townsfolk mention that a merchant and ghost ship have appeared. Before we head to the harbor, let's drop by the magic guild and bind our two new Crest Graphs. I'm taking Quick (White: Wing-Wing), that increases a character's Response, and Reflect (White: Wing-Geo). Reflect works like the Holy Parasol, and will only reflect magic that Cecilia herself can learn.
