Bartholomew will take the party out to board the ominous Ghost Ship. This is a one-time dungeon, much like the Maze of Death was, so make sure to explore thoroughly because it will be gone afterwards. Once onboard, enter the doorway to the left and down the stairs.
Take the right-side entrance of the ship this time and descend the stairs. The room will be dark, but Jack can light an oil lamp near the steps. Throw Hanpan across the broken floor to obtain another Potion Berry chest, then Grappling Hook over to the next area.
Below, you'll need to walk through the darkness to the left and then up around the broken floor to find the oil lamp. There's a room to the right of the lamp you can enter and push the blocks from the right-side to access the treasure containing a Secret Sign. Make your way back into the previous room and have Jack use the Grappling Hook on the left-side of the room to access another set of stairs leading deeper into the ship.
More darkness, but a lamp is nearby, thankfully. The three rooms on the left-side of the area are empty, but you can examine the skeleton in the middle room to battle a Cybergeist enemy. Instead, we want the easternmost room. Search the skeleton at the foot of the bed to fight a Cybergeist, then search the wall beside the bed for a hidden switch; it activates a stairwell in the room leading down.
Deeper in the ship, you'll begin to encounter Wraith enemies. Jack can steal Bronze Swords from them, which you can buy, but these make a great item to sell for additional Gella and are fairly easy to steal. Returning to the walkthrough, Jack can light another oil lamp near the stairs and use the Grappling Hook to cross the broken floor and access another set of stairs.
Light the lamp in the next room to reveal three shiny, blue chests surrounded by crates. You cannot reach these, no matter what you do. They are here as a hint to look for them after the dungeon is gone. Pass them by for now and take the left-side staircase up.
Light the oil lamp and Grapple Jack across to the right-side of the room and climb the stairs. Use Hanpan to access the Magic Carrot treasure and open the Potion Berry chest. Take the south exit outside the ship and snatch the Lucky Card from the chest there, then return back down the stairs and Grapple your way to the left-side to more stairs and then a save point. Equip Cecilia with the Blue Circlet accessory, save, grab yet another Potion Berry treasure outside, then inspect the flame on the bow of the ship for a boss fight.
Captain Geist is easy as long as he doesn't get the entire party with his Stun Cloud that causes paralysis; hopefully you equipped Cecilia with the Blue Circlet to prevent it. Use a Lucky Card, cast Shield on Cecilia, followed up with Armor Down, and then pound away. Have Jack build his Force to level 3 to unleash Sonic Vision for a devastating chunk of damage on him. When the battle is over, make sure you've opened all of the treasure chests onboard, then climb down the rope ladder south of where you fought the Captain to leave the Ghost Ship.
The Ghost Ship will sink into the depths of the ocean and the group will return to the Ship Graveyard's harbor. Bartholomew, as thanks for all of your help, will grant you use of his Sweet Candy. Also, the ship's engineer, Tom, will return to Adlehyde, which suggests we need to make a stop there.
Before leaving, check the Ship Graveyard's shore to find the three blue chests from the Ghost Ship. Inside is a Goat Doll, Crest Graph, and the Wind Vane accessory. The Wind Vane, being a one-of-a-kind item, prevents the party from being ambushed, but I would pass on equipping it. Outside on the world map, you'll see the Sweet Candy on the nearby shore; board it and a whole new section of the world open to us.
Out on the inner sea now, if you still need to farm Magic Carrots, the Hermitcrab monsters carry them. Don't underestimate them though: they hit harder than any basic encounter you've seen thus far in the game.
Also, look out for Sirens that Jack can steal your first Silver Harp accessory from. You'll be able to purchase these not too long from now, but this is your first opportunity to obtain one. The Silver Harp prevents the Silence status when equipped.
Sail the Sweet Candy directly north from the Ship Graveyard to find Adlehyde and a bottle floating in the ocean. Pick up the bottle containing a Duplicator and then dock on the shore to enter the castle town.
Next to what is now Engineer Tom's house in Adlehyde, talk with the guy here with a Secret Sign in your inventory and trade it for a new fast draw hint for Jack. If you don't have a Secret Sign, we will be obtaining another soon. Soul Breaker is the new skill and will attempt to instantly kill an enemy, which in my opinion, is a waste of MP to attempt, but you decide for yourself.
If you previously donated up to 2000 Gella to the Adlehyde reconstruction fund, you can now add an additional 3000, 5000, and 10,000 donations. Remember, each time you need to exit the town and return to make the next donation. There is still no reward even for the 10,000 donation, but be patient as it will eventually pay off.
Remember that magically sealed door inside of Adlehyde Castle? We should have two Duplicators in our inventory and we can use one of them to open it now. Inside are four chests containing Crest Graphs and another with a Secret Sign.
Leave Adlehyde and make a short stop back at Lolithia's Tomb. Remember the wall we Bombed near the entrance but needed the Grappling Hook to reach another chest? Now in possession of the tool, Jack can pull himself over to add another Crest Graph to our inventory. Now, we can return to the Sweet Candy.
Continue to sail north from Adlehyde and near the Saint Centour shore, there is another bottle with a Lucky Card inside. Now, land on the shore and enter the Elw Pyramid that was south of Cage Tower.
There will be a place Jack can use the Grappling Hook on the left-side to reach a staircase leading down where you can find two additional Crest Graphs. Next, take the portal over to the Elw Pyramid nearest Port Timney.
Here, in the center of the room, you can hook yourself across to the left and right-side of the Pyramid. On the right-side, you will find three chests with a Secret Sign, Bullet Clip, and Crest Graph. To the left, Sunglasses, Angel Quill, and Memoirs Pen accessories. These accessories prevent the Flash, Bad Omen, and Forgetfulness statuses, which we haven't seen much of yet, but will soon. You can make your way back to the Sweet Candy now.
From Saint Centour, sail directly south until you reach land, then wrap your way around to the east to the shore pictured above. To the southwest, past the desert, you will find the town of Rosetta.
Outside of Rosetta Town, you will occasionally find the Alraune monster in pairs of two. They can be difficult to defeat, but also give the party 2400 EXP afterwards. If you'd like to gain a few levels this is the perfect place, for the moment. Just be sure to use a Toy Hammer to cure the Forgetfulness status they can inflict or that character will not receive any EXP for the battle.
When you enter Rosetta Town, take a left and at the end of the item and equipment shop, there is a barrel with 498 Gella inside.
At the equipment shop, everything here is extremely expensive, but it's going to be the last one you find for quite a long time; so you can always come back later with more Gella. Cecilia's Rainbow Wand casts the Rainbow spell, a powerful 7-elemental attack, when it is combined with Mystic. While the Ruby Bische draws out the Anti-Magic spell. This spell negates all types of magic for both enemies and allies, however, only the spells Cecilia can learn, and not enemy-specific attacks.
To the north, you'll see a dog suspiciously checking out a barrel; inside is a 1 Gella Coin. This is a peculiar item that I have no idea what it does. You can use it outside and during battle to flip it, landing on either Heads or Tails. During battle, if Heads, it will make a success sound, and a negative one if Tails. It doesn't effect your EXP, Gella, or Luck either way, though. Perhaps it raises the drop rate, but I'm unsure. If you have any information on this, feel free to contact me with details.
Head inside the nearby pub and pluck the My Grand Hat helmet out of the corner barrel. You can replace Jack's current 10gal Hat with this.
To the left of the pub, you can grab a Crest Graph outside the magic guild and ARMs meister shop. You should have 10 Crest Graphs in your inventory to use at this point, however, I highly recommend you only use five of them. There will be an advanced magic guild later on in the game and, while there are enough Crest Graphs to learn every spell, it's to our advantage to hold on to as many as we can until then. For now, I'm binding Light Blow (White: Fray-Fray), Dark Blow (White: Fray-Muse), Dispell (Black: Muse-Fray), Suction (White: Geo-Fray), and Hide (White: Geo-Wing). Light and Dark Blow add the Holy and Evil elements to your basic attacks while Dispell will erase any positive status effects enemies' cast on themselves. Suction works the same exact way the Holy Parasol does: negating any magic spell on a character and reverts it to MP, but only spells Cecilia can learn. Finally, Hide will allow a character to avoid physical attacks, but only while using defend or items.
Make your way to the large mansion in the north of town. There is a Hardy Apple in a barrel on the left-side.
To the southeast, you'll see the town begin to lose its greenery. A barrel just before contains a Head Gear helmet for Rudy that you can switch out with his current Metal Band.
Continue to the east and examine the flower that is growing. An Elw girl, Mariel, will come outside and talk with the party. A group of town bullies will show up to harass Mariel, but Rudy will stand up to them. That night, she will explain that she knows how the cure Mayor Hernandez's illness, but didn't want to lead the bullies to the location of her flower garden. The next day, leave Rosetta Town and enter the Forest Mound to the southeast.
Pick up the Herb Arnica and the ruffians from the village will show up wanting to take over Mariel's flower field. Rudy will, again, run them off and you can take the Herb Arnica to Mayor Hernandez who is in bed on the second floor of his mansion. He's reluctant, but will take the Herb and the townsfolk's hearts will soften a bit towards Mariel who will then return to her dwelling.
If you return and talk with Mariel, she will give you a Small Flower. Besides earlier in the game at the Ruin Festival, this is the only place you can obtain Small Flowers. Each time you enter town, Mariel will give you another Small Flower allowing you to infinitely collect them. This item increases a character's Luck status by one grade.
