Our newest companion, Jack, and his sidekick, the wind mouse Hanpan, will be arriving at a place known as the Memory Temple. Hanpan insists it's already been plundered, but Jack is headstrong in exploring anyway.
The device inside will ask Jack to enter a name as a passcode and he will, brilliantly, use his own; ending with him being quickly deposited in the depths of the dungeon. Note: You can actually enter Jack's name as the correct passcode, but you'll still have to do the dungeon anyway and be stuck with the name until much later in the game when the option becomes available to change it. There's no point anyway: we can't get the treasure inside without Cecilia.
The game will introduce you to Jack and Hanpan as they flee from the various contraptions of the dungeon. When you gain control, you'll see a chest with a Heal Berry inside and a note stuck to the wall. The note proclaims what Hanpan already knew: the Memory Temple has long since been looted, however, there are still a few treasures here we can pick up. If you bought the Chrome Blade and War Coat back in Adlehyde, you can equip them to Jack now.
Move along the western path and you can use Hanpan as a tool to cross the divide and open a chest containing a Cowboy Hat helmet for Jack. The rest of the treasure chests on this floor are empty, unfortunately.
You'll need to step on a switch on the eastern-side of the room to open the path to the stairs leading upward.
Position Jack on either the left or right side of the next floor and dash all the way to the bottom. If you're positioned correctly, you'll pass right over the spike traps and can then use Hanpan to bypass the last set to pick up another Heal Berry. Then, you can head down the path to the right to step on a switch that opens the stairs on the previous path to the left.
In the next room, you'll need to dash quickly again past the spears. There are Heal Berry chests on both the left and right-hand-side of the room, but you'll need to enter the room to the northeast to hit a switch. Push the yellow blocks off the ledge then use Hanpan to cross over to activate the switch; this will open entry to the stairs on the left-side of the beforehand room.
You'll find a save point on your way through to the next section. To the north, move Jack quickly around the torches, hitting both switches, to make a final one appear in the center of the room that removes the bars on the door.
In the next room, you'll start to encounter Skeleton enemies. Even with a War Coat, these hit Jack for a relatively high amount of damage, so be prepared to use a Heal Berry, if necessary. If they are partnered with Pillbugs, be extra cautious, and if need be, use Jack's Accelerator Force ability to take a turn before your enemies; ensuring a quick heal.
Skeletons also drop Arctic Blades, occasionally. This is Jack's starting weapon and the only place you can obtain multiple copies of the item.
Walk carefully around the room to the southwest corner to pick up chests containing a Heal Berry and Hide Glove. The Hide Glove is a Jack-only accessory that raises his defense and evasion and is the only one you can ever obtain.
In the last room of the dungeon, have Jack stand on one of the switches and throw Hanpan to the other to open a portal.
Search the contraption in the strange room to see a holographic video of an Elw, a lost race of Filgaia, warn not to wake Lolithia from her Tomb. Another portal will then appear to take you out of the Temple.
Seeking "power" that, potentially, this Lolithia may contain, Jack and Hanpan will leave the Memory Temple for the castle town of Adlehyde in search. This completes Jack prologue. To continue with the story, we need to switch to all three of the characters and have them make their way to Adlehyde and the Memory Bird outside of the inn.
With all three prologues complete, once your first character steps foot inside of Adlehyde, some workers from Lolithia's Tomb will run in with a man injured from an accident there.
In control of Jack, if you talk with Rudy, this is one of only two times in the entire game he will speak! For whatever reason, he won't speak to Cecilia, though. Anyway, we're going to fully explore Adlehyde now. I suggest using Rudy as you will need to Bomb a few crates.
There's a quick 50 Gella to be had in a barrel on the first floor of the inn.
There's a house on the southeastern side of town with some barrels and a chest surrounded by yellow blocks. Don't worry about the blocks for now, we will be able to get to it before long, but you can pluck a Heal Berry from one of the barrels.
There's 7 Gella in a barrel inside the house besides the stairs, north from the house with the blocks in it.
There's a chest with a Heat Salve in it tucked away beyond the trees in the northeastern side of town.
In the north of town there are two small buildings with crates in them. The crates in the building on the right contain Power and Hardy Apples.
The left-side building has large crates that Rudy needs to Bomb. They contain a Heal Berry and Magic Carrot.
Mayor Cuthburt's house is the large one close to the center of town. An Agile Apple can be acquired in one of the barrels there.
On the far-west of town, next to the church, Rudy can Bomb a large crate for an Antidote. That's all the items in the main town; take the exit to the east to enter the Ruin Festival area.
One of the barrels contains a Toy Hammer in the Ruin Festival location. Note: Make sure to pick up all the items at the Festival, not too long from now, this area will become inaccessible.
45 Gella inside the barrel above.
Lastly, 4 Gella in a barrel on the left-part of the Festival. Now, back in town, take the northern exit and into Adlehyde Castle.
You'll find the Castle kitchen on the western-end of the area. There is a path on the left-side of the room that leads down to a treasure chest with a Moon Stone inside. This accessory prevents the Poison status effect when equipped.
You'll find your first Duplicator door in the hallway to the west of the throne room. These can only be opened with special keys and a lot of them will have to be backtracked for, but don't worry, I will have you covered the whole way.
In the northeastern part of the Castle, there is a path leading down and out to a small area with a chest containing a Crest Graph. Don't concern yourself with binding this at the magic guild just yet; we will be receiving a few more soon.
